Pat Mathis Construction Co., Inc., appealed a decision by a contracting officer of the Department of the Treasury's Federal Law Enforcement Training Center which terminated for default a contract between the parties for the construction of a new dormitory on the grounds of the Training Center. The parties agreed to submit the case to alternative dispute resolution (ADR), with a Board judge serving as mediator. On October 26, 2001, in the course of an ADR session, the parties entered into a settlement agreement. On January 8, 2002, the parties filed a joint motion to dismiss the appeal with prejudice.
