        Judy Hughes,  Travel Policy, Defense Finance  and Accounting
   Service,  Columbus Center, Columbus, OH, appearing for Department
   of Defense.
 
   PARKER, Board Judge.
 
        Claimant  filed  this  claim  concerning  travel  per   diem
   expenses with the Board  on June 22, 1998.  The  Board's rules of
   procedure for  travel expense claims require that the claim first
   be  filed with  the claimant's  own department  or agency.   Rule
   401(c).    The  claimant  has  informed  the  Board  that  he  is
   submitting his claim to the agency  and requests that his case at
   the  Board be dismissed.   Claimant's request  is hereby granted.
   The case may be refiled in the event the  claimant disagrees with
   the action taken on the claim by the agency.
