        Edward D. Fickess, Buffalo, NY, Claimant.
 
        Donald M. Suica and Diane H. Houry, Office of Chief Counsel,
   Internal Revenue Service, Department of the Treasury, Washington,
   DC, appearing for Department of the Treasury.
 
   BORWICK, Board Judge.
 
        Claimant, an employee of the Internal Revenue Service, filed
   a  claim  at  this  Board  contesting  the  agency's  refusal  to
   reimburse him for  an expenditure of $181.86  in travel expenses.
   Special  circumstances required claimant to incur this expense on
   behalf of a witness subpoenaed for testimony at a special hearing
   before the United  States Tax Court.   On November 21, 2000,  the
   agency moved for a dismissal of this  matter as moot.  The agency
   has reimbursed the claimed expenses.  The claim is dismissed.
