                 In the Matter of THERESA PROBUST


     Theresa Probust, Castle Point, NY, Claimant.

     Jesse Bell, Chief, Human Resource Management, Hudson Valley Health Care System,
Department of Veterans Affairs, Montrose, NY, appearing for Department of Veterans
Affairs.

DANIELS, Board Judge (Chairman).

     Theresa Probust is a registered nurse who is assigned to the Castle Point Campus of
the Department of Veterans Affairs' Hudson Valley Health Care System.  Ms. Probust has
asked the Board to decide that when she is assigned to alternative duty locations, the agency
must pay on a per-mile basis for the additional costs she incurs in traveling from her home
to those locations.  

     The agency responded by asserting that Ms. Probust had not followed its procedures
for requesting reimbursement of local travel expenses.  Ms. Probust then withdrew this case,
saying that she would submit a claim to the agency under those procedures.

     Accordingly, we dismiss the case.
